Databases and data mining We are completely comfortable with every aspect of data and its management, from the highest level problems of load balancing to the lowest level aspects of performance measurement.
Technology Assisted Marketing We are skilled with mass customization, product testing, usability, integration of direct marketing with web tracking, and generally getting the various departments of your company to make the most of what technology can offer.
IT Management We have a deep background in IT management from small organizations (<50 engineers) on up. Our employees have experience as Board of Directors members, and offshore experience in India. We have a seminar on Managing IT Professionals that was first given at the DAMA Symposium in Los Angeles in May 2004.
Computer Science Many people do programming. We also have depth in the computer science that underlies the programming. Specifically, we can offer you expertise in statistics, simulations, cryptography, and structural design of high performance software and networks.
Analysis and Development Over the years, our employees have built a variety of systems for companies in many industries. These systems include:
- Business Continuity Planning.
- Cost optimization for cooling towers.
- Firmware and drivers for the HP LaserJet Printers.
- Structural damage simulator for commercial aircraft.
- Offshore software development, and mitigation of the risks therein.
- Practical project management for software development efforts.
- Requirements gathering that takes into account the nature of the organization as well as the system.
Programming Our greatest depth is in C++ programming, particularly for critical systems. This work we do ourselves, since our customers would not expect critical path work to be subcontracted. User interfaces for web software can usually be handled internally if they are to be written using open source technologies: PHP, JavaScript, etc. We do not currently (Jan 2008) do work with Windows or with proprietary tools and languages. We will be happy to refer you to someone who does that type of work.
